Dark Tide: writing style of Stephen Puleo

The writing style of Stephen Puleo is one that is easy to understand. His style is very organized and allows the reader to completely grasp the importance of every character and what their involvement was in the molasses flood. In some novels it is a mystery of the involvement of certain characters but in Dark Tide Stephen Puleo leaves no stone unturned and gives background information for every character. This gives the reader multiple vantage points of the molasses flood. Puleo also has very good imagery skills and is able to paint pictures with words, a skill that is very hard to master. All possible questions that the reader could ask are answered before they are even thought because there are many small details that Puleo includes in his writing. This book was interesting because it had a different writing style than any other novel I have read and it also took place in Boston so I was able to relate to it.
