July Assignments

I hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July holiday.  Your comments from the previous month were insightful and interesting to read.

Here are your new assignments.  For Dark Tide I'd like you each to create a new post related to any one of the following topics: 1) The author's writing and organizational style, 2) A connection you can make to something else you've learned about history, or 3) an analysis of a character from the book. These topics should give you ample freedom to explore and write about something interesting to you.  For whichever book you've chosen as your second read create a new post related to a claim you disagree with or a question you believe the author has left unanswered.  Be sure to support your post with ample details.

Please comment on at least two posts made by classmates.  Your comments can be questions, ideas you agree or disagree with, elaborations on the original post, or any other direction you'd like to take.  Please aim to complete your original posts by Sunday, July 22 in order to give your classmates enough time to read and comment on your original posts.
